This is a very stupid way of developing. I'm shocked Mozilla fell in this trap. Bugs guaranteed in the Final.

Every piece of software should only reach Final as per Blizzard's "When it's ready" philosophy, not when artificially scheduled.

The Beta 7 just achieved RC status.

...people building the open source browser were discussing the possibility of making Firefox 5.0b6 the RC development milestone.

It turned out that the company needed to implement just one additional fix, and this led to the creation of yet another Beta update, Firefox 5.0b7.

Later yesterday, Mozilla slapped the RC label on top of Firefox 5.0b7, and released it to testers.
