Diskeeper 2011 Pro Premier 15.0.956.0

I'm not sure if I understand the problem here.

To clarify what I know ....

In VM where I patch Diskeeper installation was done months ago.

Whenever there is a new version I install that new version over previous one.

I run it and check 'About' to see if it is really a new version, because there is always some confusion with new setup files and versions of them.

Because files are not patched in that new version, Diskeeper is 'expired' .

I patch the files, Diskeeper is licensed and everything works (manual defrag etc.)

I reboot, it still works.

So, I'm not sure what exactly am I supposed to 'patch' ...

Hi! that's great we can collaborate to solve this issue, I'll put here all my know how about that and experiments I made.

That's good to know that for u is working, while u still having the 0 days left on license, which for sure will return u back and *expired* tag if u just try to install trialware.

I tried several solutions, trying at least 4 different Pro Premiere versions from latest of 2010 to the 3 of 2011 editions, experiencing in all of them the same exact problem on manual defrag, that reports on windows log an "0x0000000a" error each time. I'm using XP SP3 32bit, I tried to install trial then patch without execute it before, tried to disable/enable all intelliwire,I-FAAST and all other features to make defragment work, tried to manually stop service and copy tab.dll manually (founded here: http://www.nsanedown.com/?request=25690302 on keygen rar), tried to register with keygen following the right procedure (it appears licensed), tried to apply patch with antivir switched off (Avira displays an HEUR/Crypted suspicious on the last patch (patch.exe) for 956, that never happened with previous releases), tried to patch more times also with the program opened, tried to patch without internet connection (full installation without it), tried to restore the administrator settings to C: NTFS volume (anyway it doesn't work on D: FAT32 too so it's not that problem), tried to check with a register sniffer all the access to register while installing and start up and manually deleted all keys accessed, tried to unistall and delete manually all diskeeper keys in all register voices (probably there could be a double check on a rigistry plus on a file written somewhere around, tried to look around for any solution but nothing seams work, except for that registry clean who somebody tried. Probably I've a banned system and Diskeeper still find this info and won't working.

What experiment can u suggest me?

Thank you

It seems that you are the only one with that problem.

Maybe you have some security solution running which prevents patch to do the job needed.

Patcher first stops Diskeeper service, then files are replaced with patched ones, next task is to insert license information into registry, then it starts the service.

btw my patch doesn't extend trial days, so it really doesn't matter whether trial has expired or not.

Hence, patch doesn't care what's in the registry regarding trial...

So, my guess is that for some reason patch is not working in your configuration, is Diskeeper licensed after running patch ?

If you can't see that Diskeeper is licensed , then something is preventing patch to execute.

If you see that Diskeeper is licensed , then patcher did its job and everything should work without any problems.

I appreciate your support Shajt, and I hope we can find a solution together.

Yes program is licensed to nSaNe and patch seams "patching" fine, defrag button is enabled after patching, but pressing it, after a while waiting, it fails to defragment, asking for check the system log.. There is logged from DK service the error 0x000000a.

Analyze button works fine.

I tried everything possible, for days, I put all my 20 years experience with windows and all the possible cracking knowledge I have (which isn't a little after so many time, I hope). So I switched off antivirus , I tried to reboot, stop service manually, tried with other tab.dll and other keygen.. you can read above all I did for making it work. No chances.

DK fails for some reason, and I can't understand why. As I read around looking for a fix there are some users who are experiencing the same problem, it isn't just me.

Before this installation I had diskeep 2009 running without problems.. I uninstall it and after install 2011, so my system haven't problems, I suppose.

I looked on Google what error 0x0000000a means, but google tells everywhere only about windows STOP 0x000A blue screen.

please help :(

Adding some other tests, I tried for a chkdsk on boot as maybe the unit was flagged "dirty", this also didn't help. I used filemon to check if there are any failure while comanding to defrag, DK couldn't find C:\Diskeeper\IFaastRegions.dat so I created folder and file (0 byte) on C: and on D: but it doesn't reasolve the problem either.

I tried to enable/disable all the DK services lice Ifaast and so on, doesn't help too.

I would damnly try DK in trial mode to see if it's working, but it's expired and I can't try defrag.

A'ight , patch did its thing , that's for sure.

As for why DK is not working in your case I have no idea.

Like I said , manual defrag and everything else is working.

I feel your pain but I can't solve DK bugs.

Or something else is fcking with your installation , that problem you must figure out for yourself.

You have to realize that if it's working for me and other users, then it must be something wrong with your scenario.

What's that I dunno.

Considering your words, I asked support to them, understanding what the fuck is going on.

While I found the solution I'll share with you. Thanks for you support again :)

No problem man, I always give good support to my patches and try to help someone with the problem if I can.

I'm not bragging or anything, but before I release fix for some app. I make sure that patch is good and fully working, otherwise I wouldn't release it.

Also, I'm trying to avoid user interaction as much as I can, all the user has to do is to press the 'Patch' button.

I mean, if I wanted I could release my patches with manual instructions and in this DK case user would have to stop and start services, replace the files manually, enter serial numbers and activation codes ...

Considering your post count you probably don't have access to the Coders Corner area where I posted my fix, there are many posts there and everyone is happy with the DK patch.

No problems reported.

So I guess that there is some incompatibility with your system and Diskeeper, patch has nothing to do with that problem.

If you can, try to install fresh OS in VM and then install Diskeeper, first try it in Trial mode and see if it's working or not, then try with patch.

Let me know when you learn something new about this issue.

Still using your patch for Diskeeper 2011 v.15.0.956 and program works fine manually and automatically. None issues found sense the moment I installed, many days ago...

It`s automatic so, just have to let him to work and that`s it...Work Done !

Mine is WinXP Pro SP3 32bits

Thanks one more time...

thanks again,

still looking for solution. they suggest to control the disk (clean), the rights of files and if some program conflits with it. I need to load windows with all services disabled and check as the last trying.

i'm going to reformat after 3 years anyway.. XP updated is good OS ;)

dear friends, after format and new XP installation DK works and patch too :)

thanks for support, I really don't understand what was causing the problem, probably a system dll corrupted or some conflict with driver/service. DK wasn't able to understand it too giving the error code (what a poor support, what a poor diagnostics).

So by now the only solution is to format to make it work again.

Cheers and big thanks

  • 1 month later...

I have the same problem... The program says its registered, and I can analyze a volume, but it gets an error when you try to defrag a volume...I always get "the diskeeper operation you requested failed to start" .... I can totally uninstall the program and reinstall it and it will work again for a few weeks until it quits again.. It does this on the pro premier and the enterprise version with the shajt patch.. I imagine others are having the same problem too, if they try and do a manual defrag after having it installed for a month or more but they dont know it, because you use the manual defrag at first, and then just set it and forget it and let the automatic defrag handle stuff..

problems can only occur if you use that keymaker from 2009

it does something in the registry which diskeeper recognize and I really can't bother with searching what it is and fixing it.

You have the patch and the license registered to nsane , if you want something else and decide to play with it , well ...
