Also added "i don't overclock cpu" and "i don't overclock gpu".

I've overclocked my ATI HD 5450's GPU 650 MHz to 700 MHz and memory from 800 MHz to 850 MHz. And no need to overclock i5 750. :)

Hi everyone, As most of the budget pc builders I was fan of a AMD camp, have been with them for very long time, until recently started to find, that a gap between AMD and Intel gone bigger and bigger, and now I have moved to i7 870, and have to admit that this was a good decision . Anyway not gone crazy with overclocking, i7 is at 3.3ghz,(2.9) very stable, and 6950 is flashed with 6970 bios and works at 880 (800) core and 5500 (5000) memory, but flashing unlocked extra 128 stream processors from 1408 to 1536. nice :) oh and it is all watercooled, but not for speed, for silence  using audi A4 1999 front radiator for fanless cooling :dance2:

I don't see any reason overclocking...

But I tried it a bit when I first got my HD4850 (engine from 625 to 670 - memory from 1986 (993x2) to 2200 (1100x2). Since then (2008) I'm running it with stock clocks.

And finally, I also overclocked my cpu (PhenomII X3) cause it was very easy (just changing the multiplier).. From 2.8GHz (14x200) to 3.2GHz (16x200) and I have a Thermaltake MiniTyphoon installed.

ps : I didn't notice any performance difference

a while ago I managed to "overclock" P4... until without warning system freezing up started to happen... (didn't do a good job) anw- did not find no performance advantage and never will do that again... -_- don't see a point, as all the hassle caused hardly ever would justify grief.

NOTE:not a gamer myself

Tried OC'ing my PII 955 but could never really get it stable.

OC'ed my 6950 to 6970 clocks after flashing it to a "6970"

Also messed around with a 5750 but that card was complete crap. Had flickering problems when I enabled OC'ing. Clock speed would just drop extremely low during 3d rendering. Made alot of crap unplayable.

Never touch a running system and do not overclock or buy better hardware.

I don`t know who said that but it sounds very suitable to me.
