I use ccleaner, JV16 powertools and Your unin-staller!. For me it's not just about performance, but maintaining a system for a long period of time without needing a re-install.

Recently installed and tried WinASO Registry Optimizer and Auslogics BoostSpeed, both of them are great applications, first one for clean and defrag registry and optimizing the whole system and second one for it's special features, System Advisor and Optimization of Services and CCleaner (+ CCEnhancer) for removing junk and temp files.

With above description, you can find I have uninstalled the TuneUp Utilities, it was totally useless for me.

And I'm really happy with this configuration :).

TuneUp 2010 + CCleaner.

Be carefull when scanning regkeys. Some of them are displayed as useless, but should never be deleted. In a worst case, you cannot uninstall a program or have your webcam without a micro (when you installed a webcam, it worked perfectly with micro)

PS: disabled defrag. No need for this using SSD.

SacredCultivator

I use Windows 7 Manager and CCleaner quite often, I find them to be quite the good combination.

Yamicasoft Win 7 Manager, CCleaner and jv16 Power Tools is what I use now. I have used TuneUp Utilities in the past but every since after version 2008, it has been a bloated piece of junk in my book.

....... .......... ............. .............

I'm very disappointed in TuneUp Utilities, there is no way to stop the services from running up your resources, even if you disable all Auto maintenance. If you disable the services from running in your service manager, then TuneUp will not start up. TuneUp Utilities 2008 was the best version, was very lite and started up real fast. It didn't have all of these unnecessary services. I wished I still had a copy of it.

Thanks. biggrin.gif

I saw today your post . If you still want an old copy of TuneUp Utilities give me a PM and I will upload a 2009 version (+key) ... :)

Yamicsoft (there's a spelling mistake) Windows 7 Manager and TuneUp Utilities are preferred programs. Don't use though for any cleaning/privacy work, it's CCleaner.
