i prefer Yamicasoft Win 7 Manager .

Optimized and tweaked up my Windows with it, when i first installed Windows , an year back,

and as of know , havent bothered to see what all has been tweaked :P ....

some tools in the suite i often use are

- IP switcher

- Log On Background Changer

- and some times the Repair center , like regenerating the Icon Cache .

and thats it ... ;)

Run CCleaner when ever i feel like ...

most likely 3 or 4 times in a month ... :)

And if i want some deep cleaning , like fixing some random errors or just for some fun ,

then run the Win 7 Manager Registry Cleaner and Junk File Cleaner ...

but not often .... ;)

one less known tool i found really good is System Ninja .

its a nice little cleaner , picking up stuff left behind by most other majority and is safe ... ^_^

run it once or twice in 2 months .

and as for System Performance improvement .

well , its hard to say for me .

some times yes ,

and some times no change ,,

and some times things even got messed up .... :(

some times some random errors get fixed , but some time not ,

so its rather both ways ..... <_<

I still run some of these... but no quantifiable improvements. Maybe the next fresh Windows install I'll skip on registry cleaning.

TuneUp Utilities™ 2011 + CCleaner 3 ^_^.

I usually use TuneUp for Registry Cleaning & Registry Defrag, and CCleaner for cleaning traces and junk files.

And of course I feel the changes, TuneUp is the safest optimization software I have ever seen, after cleaning registry I have not any problem and my Windows runs like it's first day.

I also tried many others but finally switched to TuneUp.

I use TuneUp in my laptop, plus jv16 Tools, CCleaner and Vit Registry Fix, | Advanced System Care 4 in my PC.

Ccleaner, Glary, Tuneup Utilities,Wise Pc Engineer, Yamicsoft Windows xp/7, CleanUp! 4.5.2 by Steven R Gould and System Ninja :P

In about that order. Some I try for a while but get rid of. These are my regulars atm.

I use the first 3 everyday and the others occasionaly :D

I do notice a difference after using them but not every time. If I have problems running something it usually works after cleaning with a few of these. :o

I use IObit Toolbox. It's simple but gets the job done. I use it mainly to clean some junk and the registry.

It's not bloated, so I like it and use it from time to time.

CCleaner + CEnhancer

RegSupreme

Windows & Internet Cleaner Pro

Advanced SystemCare

Registry Crawler

I use them everytime I Install or Uninstall new software, which happens almost everyday. To uninstall I prefer Total Uninstall.

=Diskeeper on auto.

I used to use TuneUp Utilities since 2006, but I has given up using that since it came out with a service which is running in background... how annoying.

I feels don't need that background service, but when I turn it off (disable), it will run again whenever any TuneUp Utilities program is launched.

Now I only run CCleaner once in a month or whenever I think I need to clean my Windows....

Regarding the last question: I do notice degraded system performance if I don't... (This does include defragmenting though.)

Yamicasoft Win 7 Manager, CCleaner and jv16 Power Tools is what I use now. I have used TuneUp Utilities in the past but every since after version 2008, it has been a bloated piece of junk in my book.

I don't like tweaking program that have Auto maintenance. They uses up too many resources and sometimes clean up things that I want to keep. I only run them when I think they are needed and yes sometimes I do see improvements in system performance. Ashampoo Win Optimizer is also a good option if you disable the Auto maintenance.

Yamicasoft Win 7 Manager and CCleaner is the ones that are my favorites. Just use them and close them and all resources are gone. I use Auslogics Disk Defrag and Puran Defrag, they are the best ones that I have tried. I really have no need for Auslogics Boost Speed, since it is missing many tweak settings that others offer. Advanced System Care is really good, but is hard to find what you need because of their GUI is riddled.

I don't understand all of these tweaking tools using Auto maintenance, the point of tweaking is to make your system perform better. How care your system perform better when they use up all those resources?

I'm very disappointed in TuneUp Utilities, there is no way to stop the services from running up your resources, even if you disable all Auto maintenance. If you disable the services from running in your service manager, then TuneUp will not start up. TuneUp Utilities 2008 was the best version, was very lite and started up real fast. It didn't have all of these unnecessary services. I wished I still had a copy of it.

Thanks. :D

CCleaner here...daily. In fact, after I have close my browser.

jv16...about once a or two week.

Diskeeper for auto defrag only.

Windows 7 Manager for cleaning unwanted junk and its tweak.

As to whether it works......I have come across PC that have not use any utility for years slowing down.

Once it is clean up.....the PC rev up beautifully.
