zeon22
The folks over at the iTOK Blog have put together a chart comparing Macs and PCs based on features such as stability, affordability, speed, software compatibility, and more. Here is your chance to weigh in on the matter of who you feel does it better. So what are your thoughts? Is the chart accurate or is there a lot of room for interpretation? If you have used both which one do you feel works better over time and provides better value?

majithia23
the writer probably is a MAC user , who knows he did a big mistake buying a MAC , but cant admit it , ( is in denial mode )and now wants to convince the readers , " MAC are good or even better than Windows ."coz thats what he is trying to tell himself all the time <_< ...to shun away some myths and useless notions attached with a MAC ,Here are some comments by our member and mod Leetpirate , posted in a discussion about MAC or PC once in this forum ...1-- 2--
toyo
Nice high-res, drop-shadowed pictures :DPS: Did you use a Mac? I bet you did...
majithia23
thanks toyo .. :)yes i did use a MAC Pro , for a whole week :)and that too a brand new , just 2 months back ...seriously admitting , apart from the looks of the hardware , i couldnt understand , what is so special in it that makes people shout - " Look i have a MAC ! " i mean genuinely, what is all the hype about a MAC is beyond my conception ... <_<nothing personal and with all due respect to all MAC owners and users , they need to understand ,,its just a hardware config running an OS ..that is it .. :closedeyes:now if i am to quote , just my experience , the one i used, it hung 3 times and had to be force shut down , videos files couldnt be played on that easily , hard to find the codecs , hard to play around with the system settings ,lack of support ,lack of customization ,and..... :(i mean , i sit with my WIN 7 pc and its all a breeze , plenty and plenty of softwares to play around with , plenty of support , plenty of under the hood stuff and we all know what all ..... :rolleyes:and to see what a more experienced user like Leetpirate has to say about , i posted the above screen shots .see the topic link for some more users views ....and on a second note , if one has the bucks to go for , i have seen some stunning SONY VAIO , HP ENVY , and some TOSHIBA models ..., which can easily put a MAC book to shame .bundled with a i7 / i5 and a powerful nvidia series 5 card , will make a MAC look like a peanut ... :smoke:

Hottwire
I own both Mac & PC .....ahhh personally I prefer & use PC more than Mac.. ^_^Same as above, my MAC only gets used on the go because its the only laptop i have and i dont want to buy another, besides even then half the time im in parallels to run windows specific software anyway :P that says something (would bootcamp it if my mac Superdrive wasn't broke(not buying another my money is better spent on other things) :P
glamster
Apple advertises (and recommends) Mac users to run Windows on their Macs for software that doesn't have an Mac equivalent, which if that doesn't sway you from buying a Mac then nothing will.Macs lack software and costs a fortune, no amount of blind Mac praise will change facts to fiction.Edit - I barely even see Macs or Mac users in day-to-day life, which really coming across a Mac or Mac user is like a rare thing.
