Process Lasso improves system performance, responsiveness, and stability during high loads through dynamic adjustments to process priority classes. It can also automatically terminate undesired processes, apply default priorities and CPU affinities to processes, limit the number of instances a process can have, and log all processes. It is not a task manager replacement, but does have task manager like capabilities to compliment its primary functions. Process Lasso runs on all editions of Windows 2000, XP, 2003, 2008, Vista, and Windows 7.

Thanks to thylacine for the update.

I am tired of sticking my foot in my mouth, so let's just say this is a new release with some good changes. Not everything is fixed in the beta though, so some will be happy, others disappointed. More betas are going to come rapidly.

I went up a couple versions because I made changes at the last minute.

Many/most reported bugs are NOT YET fixed. I am moving as fast as I can. Please be patient until I get to whichever bug you've reported. Trust me, they are all on a list ;). If I get to 'RC1' and it still isn't fixed, then definitely remind me though ;o.

Good news is the last build is a decent one SO FAR in my tests. It is not perfect, there is more to do. Bad news is that I am disgusted with myself for having a big mouth. It is kind of embarrassing to say you have fixed the same bug more than once, though what can I say. It's time to restore any lost faith, so I'm heading underground. No more beep, chime, and ding on every email ;). I need to get some straight up code done, no sleep, and just finish this MF up.

@SwagOnMe:

It's like a version of Task Manager with much more features.

Combine this with Process Hacker and you can trash Task Manager.
