I really dont understand why all you people keep posting updates when the :pirate: will be available, or keep on trying different patches releases, servers etc.

Just uninstall nod & reinstall using the trialkey. That's all.

Now you're save for another month. :dance2:

In case ' just ' uninstalling doesnt work, try cleaning your reg by jv16 or youruninstaller (verified).

ive downloaded a few versions of nod32 off usenet and some of them seem to come with a nod32 fix from nsane

filename: NOD32.FiX.v3.0-aRC-R3XBR-nsane.exe

i'm not running any of these exes yet because im perfectly happy waiting for an official fix and using nod-forever logins until then

just curious what the deal was with that

also, whats the difference between the home and business versions of nod32 AV?

For corpse, drameet, and a few others

More FUD....not needed please.

The fix will be released when it's ready, and it IS being worked on (for the other guy who said nsane probably isn't working on one). They are working very hard on it and have released numerous Beta's for testing to some individuals who are comfortable Beta testing s'ware. The current Beta seems stable but so have others and then they encounter a problem. The new NOD V3 is more complex and therefor much more difficult to establish a stable fix for it, so....

PLEASE....those of you who don't know what goes on in the background or at the "other site"....STOP spreading rumors and FUD!

You're not doing anyone (especially yourselves) any good. Nsane and the group are most certainly working on this....beta's have been released for testing, but it's just taking longer than expected to stabilize it. It will be stabilized, and it WILL be released when it is. Till then you have 2.70.39 or you can use KM92's patch and server (Thx for this KM92!!!).

So, there's no sense in anyone posting anymore unfounded rumors & FUD. Just stay tuned and when it's finished it'll be posted.

Thx

Dave

Be a lot more convincing if you weren't a fucking 6 day old one post wonder :pirate:

LOL!!!

You know NOTHING about this "6 day old, one post wonder"....you're just too funny. And I could say something about YOUR post count here too...but I've been doing this long enough to know that a person's post count means NOTHING! I don't know you and I don't know your work, or lack of for that matter, but obviously you seem to put allot of stock in someone's post count...you'll learn better someday.

This 6 day old poster has been working in the background towards this for awhile, and just because this was the first time I "chose" to post, doesn't mean it's my only contribution here...or elsewhere for that matter. I just happen to be top Admin at 4 Tech help sites with over 450,000 total members, and I've been an independent virus/trojan/malware tester (unknown new varients) for over 8 years, and for very well known products. I know you'll come back with "name some...", but due to being an "Independent", I am bound by rules that I refuse to break, here or anywhere else.

Still, no matter what my post level here may show, the message is still very valid is it not?

We don't need FUD...we don't need conjecture from folks who know not what's happening in the background...and we don't need to hear things like what we've seen posted lately!!

The fix IS being worked on...it WILL be released when it's ready and not before! When people start saying things like some have said here, and make the less savvy users start to panic, it doesn't do anybody any good and I'm simply pointing that out.

Yes jofre...that's pretty much Exactly what I'm saying, and has been echoed many times throughout this thread....It'll be released, but it's proven to be a very tough nut to crack! No doubt the ESET engineers are fully aware of NOD Fixes and worked very hard to close that door...so let's give the guys our support and patience please. They need that more than they need these rumors being passed out.

Thanx

Just uninstall nod & reinstall using the trialkey. That's all.

Now you're save for another month. :pirate:

It's a noble idea you share here - I can see you want to help. Unfortunately, the trial versions which the ESET folks have rolled out so far, have a fixed validity date instead of the usual 30-days or 60-days evaluation that's the norm. The fixed validity date on all trial installers at the moment is 19-01-2008 - this is because every trial installer stores the same User name & Password combination.

No matter how thoroughly one uninstalls NOD32, the new trial installation will not extend to a further full month, you may try this for yourself - all of us here, have already tried out everything. 3dtristehu9.gif

Well really not now, since I have another 18 days to go on my trial period - maybe after that I'll give KM92's server a try (unless ESET extends the evaluation, again or nsane's NODfix for V3 is released.)

Anyways KM92 is doing a great job here - his servers are a good alternative until nsane delivers.

Still, it's not 19-01-2008 yet.

After then, do you really think they won't renew the trial, seriously.. :pirate:

In the meanwhile, why not sit and wait for nsane to finish his work here, instead of updating / copypasting s/n every day from servers.

When the final patch will be out, you probably have to un&reinstall nod anyway.

We remain optimistic that they (ESET folks) will renew the trial - are keeping our fingers crossed. Agree with you - best solution would be the nsane patch (permanent, silent & self-updating.) In the meanwhile, alternatives are gratefully welcomed & gobbled up - some guys have also been offering great guidance in this thread with regard to the Beta NodLogins.

My trial lasts till 30-01-2008, so i guess that's the latest version.

@ bearoninternet, i think you ment that by re-installing Eset's SS/NOD32 your trial key gets 'updated' to the latest version?
