nsane.forums
Residents of Sao Paulo, Brazil have just completed building the World's largest Lego tower, taking the title away from previous brick building champions from Santiago, Chile. It may surprise you to learn that Lego tower building on a grand scale isn't anything new--the brick-based race to the sky originally started in the late eighties in the United Kingdom. During 1988 Londoners built a modest tower that stood just over 15 meters high. Since then more than thirty countries around the world have given plastic tower building a try, with Brazil and their 31.19-metre tower becoming the latest record holder. The Brazilian tower was built over the course of four days, with Lego designers from Denmark on site to help out. The 31.19-metre tower was built in a shopping mall's parking lot, with footballer Cafu placing the last bricks atop of the tower.
