Almost two weeks ago I got this news that Rising Internet Security 2011 had been released as free/freeware for personal use. The only reason I could not write about it that the installed application have had link to register and buy it. Two days ago, Rising team released an update which contained the free personal use notification. And now I am writing to letting you know that ALL RISING SECURITY PRODUCTS ARE FREE FOR LIFETIME FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY.

Article

Info and downloads in the article. Some Chinese translating may be needed to read the info page :) Straightforward download though.

Internet Security Info Eng

Never used it personallly. ;)

I should have mentioned there was talk about this company producing viruses or something like that a while ago. Now their products are free  Make of that what you like :fear:

I down loaded the antivirus and internet security. The antivirus would not install on windows 7 64 bit. The internet security package did install but with limitations. The active defense module is not installed on 64 bit. I think I will stick with the three A's...Avast, AVG, and Avira.

trying it and so far OK'ish. Will know it, if it is bad, once something will happen!

As for resources- seemed to be as light as anything, Firewall quite alright (not annoying or completely slack), interface (for who cares- OK'ish too!)

so far I can not give my score on it, but as for freeware might worth be testing it yourself

rising av saga better check with wilderssecurity they have every in and out of rising av, personally av detection is not thats much good but the behaviour blocker or you can call it hips feature of it is best just like threatfire from pctools. so it depends upon the computer literacy of the end user. :anglenot:

Brrr.. I wish you used few different sentences to say what you did...

regarding WilderSecurity- 0% credibility from me, so if they'd say something- I'd take it opposite

RadioActive

I've tried it on a VM and it works (freely that is) and I have to admit that it does offer some interesting features, also I found it light on the resources. One funny thing is when I was installing it it asked me if I'd like to install "Rising Lion" which I assumed it was some sort of defense module but it turns out it's a cute little lion character that plays on the desktop :D

Anyways, I can't comment on its efficiency since I didn't thoroughly test it but I have to commend them (Rising) for the effort.
