nsane.forums
In a recent interview, the founder of Amanita Design, the company behind the awarding winning 2009 PC game Machinarium, gave his candid views on piracy. Not only does Jakub Dvorsky oppose DRM, believing it to be “an annoying complication for paying customers”, but actually admits to being a pirate in his youth. “I don’t see pirates as plain thieves as I also pirated heavily when I was younger, with plenty of time to play many games but very little money to buy them,” he told PC Gamer. “Pirates can actually help to promote the game if it’s good and some of them even pay for it afterwards if they think it was worth it. Of course the piracy is still a big problem on PC, but considering how many PC gamers are in the world it’s definitely worth developing for PC.” Read the full interview here. Marik
But this is how today's advertising works. They keep saying that pirating makes them loose money when it comes to movies, games or music, when it's the exact opposite.Your track, game, film get's promoted through pirating in reality....and then the pirates just buy it after a while when they have enough.Honestly, the should make pirating legal, and pay the f**k attention...cause if something's being pirated more than the other, then it's prob better.
