I asked if you happened to have Messenger:Mate... And you said if we donated enough money you would be able to sponsor/purchase it. My question is if you happened to have gotten enough for it yet ><, I tried convincing dad to let me get it with my own money and he still won't let... The only reason why im looking for it is cause it supports addon for the newest version of AIM. All the other addons only work for the older versions of AIM. THis one is suppose to suport the new one. And I don't liek using it to the point where it is still buggy with the New Version... But heh I don't use Trillian, don't really like it... erRor67 Posted April 6, 2005 Share Posted April 6, 2005 Well, if you are still looking for a plugin that supports the newest* version of AIM, i would recommend Palfun. http://www.palfun.com It is the only plugin that i know of (excluding M:M) that supports AIM 5.9. It is also free. And yes, ive done searching and found dozens of other plugins. Erm, Palfun currently doesnt support the very newest version of AIM (5.9.3702). It does however, support version 5.9.3690 which would be the second newest version (i think). Erm, i suppose just wait for the next version of Palfun to come out but if you visit their forums you will their site is kinda dead. Their policy is after a new version of AIM comes out, they guarente* a 2-3 max wait before a new version of Palfun comes out. Of course, now its like a 2-3 month wait. Of course, some people are saying their newest version does work so i guess its a matter of luck. Anywayz, try that. erRor67 Posted April 7, 2005 Share Posted April 7, 2005 Just get Palfun. I just installed the lastest version of AIM and Palfun runs well along side of it. I get no errors. I do, however, get a warning saying that they might be uncompatable (because that version of AIM was released after palfun's version) but you can disable that warning message. Yeah, try it. It isnt bloated with all the extra crap such as games, weather bug thingie, popup blocker etc etc. THe installer is like 2 megs lower. That, and its compatable with most* aim add-ons.
