WinRAR is a general purpose archiving and compression program competing with/replacing programs such as PKZip, ARJ, and others. It offers significantly improved compression ratios, easier use and a cheaper price as well as supporting long file names, disk spanning, and self-extracting file creation.

Thanks to Freddyfre for the update.

I lost the context menu to extract tar.gz archives with this version. I'm going back to 3.93 because that context menu is important to me.

Not sure what happened or if there is a way to fix it but I use many tar.gz and bz2 archives and normally when I right click I have the options to extract them. With v4 it only shows up for.rar and .zip and possibly others but for my .gz or .bz2 files the context menu only shows add to archive as if they are regular files. It makes no sense because those files are already archives so they should have the option to extract. Reverted to v3.93 and everything is back to normal. I will keep it, I doubt v4 has anything significant to it that warrants this inconvenience for me.

@LeetPirate: maybe you can add the extension tar.gz and bz2 to the "User defined archive extensions" in Settings->Integration so it will treat them as archives.

Ok yes that seems to work but now I believe it is a bug. The selection boxes above already has BZ2 and GZip as valid extensions ticked off and yet it does not work by default.
