portage
The webpage can be found at canweshipyet.com and follows a recent trend at Mozilla to track the process of projects by providing as questions phrased domains - such as areweprettyyet.com or arewefastyet.com. Of course, the page suggests a certain self-irony as Mozilla has been trying for months to trim the number of bugs, which keep surfacing and prevent Firefox 4 from reaching the finish line. Yesterday, for example, the countdown was at 14 (blocking) bugs, today the counter is a 22.According to today's meeting minutes, there were 20 blockers left (two new bugs have been found since then). Of those 20, 5 bugs did not have patches yet. Noteworthy recent fixes include memory saving patches, which were noticed by beta users in Firefox 4 Beta 11 and caused a wave of complaints. According to Mozilla, Firefox 4 Beta is now used by about 2.3 million users. It is unclear whether Mozilla will be able to keep its most recent Firefox 4 release plans, which put Firefox 4 RC in a February time frame. The final release is said to be published sometime in March. On that note, IE9 is scheduled for a March 14 release. Right now it appears that Microsoft will have the advantage of release its new browser first. March should be an interesting month for the web browser.Original Article
Administrator DKT27 Posted February 23, 2011 Administrator Share Posted February 23, 2011 Nice. :)I really think Mozilla should release it after IE9. Why? M$ has money for marketing. If they release FF before IE, then it'd be overshadowed by the release of IE. In this race, losing may well be winning. But, can go either way... Bizarre™
Mozilla should just take their time with Firefox 4.0 ^_^
portage
I concur DKT27. I still don't think that IE 9 will be that good to beat Firefox 4 but Firefox 4 seems to be coming with new bugs everyday in a never ending cycle.

Peace_Angel
I don't know why Firefox is being stressed so much about the deadline. I'd rather wait a little longer and get a polished product instead of getting patched builds every two days!Anyways, I think firefox users would not quit firefox for IE just because IE is released before it. And its not that the current 3.6 builds are unusable!I have tried using IE8, Chrome (v728! Lol) but always went back to Firefox since it's version 3. Never liked it version 1 & 2.I hope FF get it done, yes, but not at the cost of getting a buggy product!Peace.
DreamHaters
FF 3.6 is running well, so i aint in no rush to see FF 4.0.I'd rather wait and have a great fast browser that doesn't suck up your memory then have it now and face some problems that will interrupt my experience while on the Internet.FF is soon to be in RC's so its coming. Be patient.
JessicaLeigh
Mozilla should just take their time with Firefox 4.0 ^_^I agree with you, Bizzy. :) As long as we see it before IE 12, I'm good. ;) xoxoxo
