toyo
The GPUs usually come on their own "motherboards" - the videocard itself. There are all kind of sensors, the ones on the expensive cards being more sophisticated and so on. Probably even the different generations of IGPs are too much to include in a small BIOS (I never had a IGP, but since you asked that I assume the BIOS does not show its temperature). The hang was due to the BIOS being verified, most probably. I can't tell why I modded the BIOS on the videocards and motherboards I have - I never seem to consider the risks :P But once the mod is finished, it's a cosy feeling :)
Administrator DKT27 Posted February 23, 2011 Administrator Share Posted February 23, 2011 My old computer had a IGP, but it never showed any GPU temps in BIOS. :rolleyes:They can implement a feature to monitor even PCI-E from BIOS, it's very beneficial IMO, but I guess they never considered.
