nsane.forums Posted January 24, 2011 Share Posted January 24, 2011 Today Microsoft announced a big update for Bing's image search, which now searches for trending topics and related images for your query. This is Microsoft's first major redesign to Bing images since it launched last year. Although Microsoft has been working hard behind the scenes to improve on the algorithm and improve on related searches using your Facebook friends shared links, this is the first cosmetic change to the website. Now when you search using Bing images, you'll now get a new header with your query information and additional search terms. The new links above your images are actually some of the most popular related image searches on Bing. Bing has also improved their layout of your image search results. Much like the old Bing, you could filter the size of the images you wanted into grid sizes, but the new search shrinks the images much smaller than that, giving you more results on your screen. In addition to all the new Bing image changes, they have also replaced the landing page when you first launch Bing. You'll be able to see and browse some of the top image searches on Bing.
