marshall39
Eset and Kaspersky are not in the top anymore....Fsecure...WTF is that? Anyway I don't give too much credit to those comparatives kaspersky is still the best in my opinion

Siddharta
"Summary Of The Annual Awards 2010" WTF! what happen to ESET ?? not even single bronze? btw thanks for the post Sidd :)1º Eset has had a very good performance ADVANCE + in most tests!!!! Let me reming you G Data is a hybrid with two motors: Bit Defender and Avast.2º Avira still has too many false positives tested by myself at home!!!! .3º As a security suite I prefer Kaspersky Internet Security.4º I use mainly Eset and Kaspersky though I temporarily test some other antiviruses so as to have my own opinion of them.5º Norton is advancing but I don't trust it enough yet! 7even
I had bad experiences with Avira Premium Security Suite, especially when downloading something from the internet. So I managed to change to Eset. It's lighter on my system but I didn't happy with above result... :frusty: duh!
morteza
@7evenI agree with u and i change my antivirus to Norton 2011 :) .Norton is really light and effective:D
spootnack
Thank you for the test and the screenshots with the summary !!! (+1 added)Kaspersky, Symantec and Avira are the best. As always....ESET fanboys can see the truth...F-Secure is the outsider. Great score. Should test it.PS: Maybe that MSE 2 is good now. Any tests for it ? Administrator DKT27 Posted January 11, 2011 Administrator Share Posted January 11, 2011 ESET scoring Advanced+ in 5 out of 7 tests. I don't see any problems with that. I'm using Avast right now and it sucks IMO. It drastically slows down my system, is not fully compatible with Comodo FW. Has been giving weird problems. Also, catching potentially unwanted programs as trojans and malware. I'm thinking about trying Norton though. Any working fix available for latest AV only? aalpha1
I am losing the trust on AV-Comparatives somehow, anyway congratz to F-Secure.Hmm I think I am going to test it too, cause it seems to be better than I ever thought and that is because I never used it! Administrator DKT27 Posted January 11, 2011 Administrator Share Posted January 11, 2011 Just wonder, why don't they add keygens and other fixes and see how many AVs blacklist them as malware. :sneaky:
*dcs18
The 2010 awards is farcical to say the least - they've tried to molly-cuddle the underdogs without safeguarding the interests of end Users:-We decided to give the award to the program that has made the most progress relative to last year (in order to motivate all manufacturers to keep improving their products). On this basis, the AV-Comparatives Product of the Year 2010 goes to F-Secure.
Alpha1BA
F-Secure was a front runner about 10-15 yrs ago! it seemed to simply dissapear off the radar for a while, I used to use it all the time back in the day! so it may well be worth trying them out. These days I can't praise Norton enough for what they have acheived over the last couple of years! Avira are good enough but there firewall is so so. Kaspersky above average in all departmentments but wjhatever system ive installed it on it always seems resource hungry! having tested MSE over the last couple of weeks I was happily surprised to see it holding it's own! Avast, bit like avira is above average with it's fair share of false positives! Eset not used in a good while now but always had a decent detection rate with fewer f/p's than most and light on system resources too. GData twin engined bit defender/Avast make of it what you will. marshall39
I've tried to download the set up from another place and still the same...No worries , anyway I always try other AV and I always come back to Kaspersky or Eset. I don't know why , I don't trust the other ones , even if they are AV of the year :D "PS: Maybe you installed a crappy hadopi software which destroyed your OS.
