nsane.forums
Microsoft issued two security bulletins addressing three vulnerabilities in Windows as it previewed its upcoming Patch Tuesday. In its advance notice on Thursday, Microsoft said its first bulletin is deemed important and affects Vista. The second critical bulletin affects all Windows. The software giant continues to evaluate a Windows Graphic Rendering Engine vulnerability that surfaced earlier this week. More importantly, Microsoft said it wouldn’t be addressing vulnerabilities in the Windows Graphics Rendering Engine and a public vulnerability in Internet Explorer. Microsoft said in a blog post: We continue to actively monitor both vulnerabilities and for Advisory 2488013 we have started to see targeted attacks. If customers have not already, we recommend they consult the Advisory for the mitigation recommendations. We continue to watch the threat landscape very closely and if the situation changes, we will post updates here on the MSRC blog.
