RoboForm 7.1.3

Bizarre™

Recommended Posts

RoboForm is a Password Manager and Web Form Filler that completely automates password entering and form filling. It allows you to define your personal profile or "usual" responses to a web form. This information is then saved, and when you need to fill a form, just click "Fill Forms" button, and form is filled out. Works as an add-on to Microsoft Internet Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox or Netscape web browsers.

Thanks to Siddharta for the update.

Never had issues with Roboform 7 as well. The only problem is no proper crack or licgen like ver6 yet.

actually, even with the task icon shut off in "options" there's still some service related to the taskbar icon that keeps trying to start. In fact, it does so about 15-20 times as soon as you open a browser! In Online Armor HIPS history it shows as a "kernel event" that's near constant with a browser open. Curious as to whether other people are also finding roboform to act really buggy in chrome. For me, it crashes Chrome browser regularly.

Will this crack revert the install to 7.1.1 again? Anyone try it yet? If so, no point in attempting to update anyway, unless you have a legit copy.

Both noted observations working fine here without any issues. The taskbar icon can be shut off by the following step:-

'Options' >>----> 'General' >>----> <un-tick> 'Show Roboform icon in Taskbar' B)

i know there is an option :)

but, i mean the process in the task manager (roboformtaskbaricon.exe) it need to be running..

while on v6, i can separate download and install roboform addon in firefox, and i never need to run roboform in the background..

what i call buggy..

i have problem with click on link (either open link or open in new tab), it makes firefox browser window become not active, so i need to click on ff again..

henz, thanks for the pointer. Respectfully though, I think Sidd is incorrect in saying the program is updated and it just says "7.1.1" in the version section. Long before there was license medicine for this program, what you used to get were updated roboform.dll's as a crack, and those dll's were different with each updated version of the program. The instructions for this software reside in its' dll file, and if you use a 7.1.1 dll, then that's what you get. If you look in your program files under Siber, you'll see that outside of the dll, and a few exe files for other program functions, the entire roboform program is the dll file. The only thing you may be updating are license texts and language files. Outside of that, nada.

Hey dcs18--- I know the service isn't running, it just keeps attempting to start. I believe the reason OA is attempting to stop it is because part of the taskbar icon function in roboform is to check for new versions, so there's some server contact that Online Armor is blocking. Here's a snap of what it's doing from OA...

I think to get this working properly what's really needed is an updated dll medicine for each new version (which is how this used to be shared for a few years prior to the license generator being developed) or else a new licgen that functions with their new license algorithm. Otherwise this just seems messy. Also, no, I have it set up NOT to start with windows. This is just a constantly repeated Siber server check for versions, and probably licensing, as well.

@dcs18--- I get the same reading in OA whether I have roboform taskbar icon blocked or allowed access. Doesn't seem to matter, it just keeps trying to break out anyway :) That's why I assume it must be in part, a license check. It's set up to attempt access whether you want it to or not.

@dcs18

the link issue does not belong to the particular link, it just overall link on major website. (that maybe cause by addon conflict, never have problem with v6 before)

i have set roboform not to start with windows.

henz,

I hope we don't have a botched Roboform installation on your system - hate to suggest a re-installation.

 • 2 months later...

I have V7.2.3 and find it unusable. If I choose to not display Roboform's toolbar at the top of my screen (as I usually do as I need the space.), then Roboform forces a lower toolbar over the top of the lower scroll bar. If I remove the lower Roboform toolbar, it just keeps coming back with every page downloaded. Roboform calls this a "Feature". I call it obnoxious, not even Google forces toolbars on me. Roboform's customer service has little useful to say - actually, in my experience, they seldom have anything useful to say.

I've reverted to V6 and am looking at other programs at this point. I don't mind paying a few bucks here and there, but having my screen taken over by obnoxious software isn't going to happen. I'll decide what toolbars I display, not Roboform.
