According to a Sunday Times story being republished around the globe the plan, to be discussed next month with major ISPs including BT, Virgin Media and TalkTalk, would require all pornography to be blocked. Adults would then have to opt-in to get access to pornography. It is not clear at this point what kinds of materials would be considered porn and therefore blocked under the scheme. The idea of an opt-in system was raised by Conservative MP Claire Perry in November, following a study that suggested one-in-three children under 10 had seen pornography on the internet. In 2007, the British Government asked ISPs to block child pornography using a list provided by the Internet Watch Foundation. Proponents of the opt-in porn blocking scheme have pointed to that trial as evidence a wider blocking scheme would be technically feasible. UK communications minister Ed Vaizey told The Sunday Times that he hoped to convince ISPs to take on the scheme voluntarily. "I'm hoping they will get their acts together so we don't have to legislate, but we are keeping an eye on the situation and we will have a new communications bill in the next couple of years,'' he said. It appeared some ISPs were prepared to take on the government plan, with one TalkTalk executive suggesting providers should be forced to filter porn if they do not choose to do so without coercion. ''If other companies aren't going to do it of their own volition, then maybe they should be leant on. Legislation is a sledgehammer but it could work,'' executive director of strategy and regulation Andrew Heaney said. TalkTalk intends to introduce a service dubbed ''bright feed'' that would allow homeowners to restrict access to internet content based on a cinema-style rating system. BUT somehow it rendered the following... and I think this has to do with more than just simply the UK... Its a good idea a far as a censorship is concerned.. IF all freedoms remain intact.. but how is it even possible... and what other residual effects is this going to have concerning tracking and availability of downloads... Is there going to be a national database of ID's and birth records.. with accounts... turn it on for you and off for your kids.. How is that supposed to even work?.. Anyway...I keep wondering what is going on in the world.. it seems that governments and politicians just keep trying to take rights away and keep trying to commercialize freedoms... Event hough this isn't completely the topic of discussion.. its just seems the idiocy bounds over common sense more so than anything... Mindless idiots which only appeal to a demographic and fail to represent any direction of progress.. Everything that seems to be taking place is causing a problem and costing everyone more money..On topic.. how about getting computer illiterate people off the Internet and people who realize its not all for them to disconnect.. People seem to take a public resource which is created for everyone and is used for a broad scope and range.. and they try to apply all of the moral standards and ideals that they brow-beat people with within their religious beliefs and their own homes... I mean, hey if I owned the Internet, yeah I could be a huge shifting factor in what comes about in the next 20 years.. and I could profit from it too.. I wonder how many entities have come to that realization? Every time you turn around some company corporation, political entity or regulatory committee full of puss-gutted wind bags who don't even know their way around a simple laptop.. are trying to get their hands in it... at the expense of raping people of their own rights and taking something from someone .. The only thing I want to see if someone protecting the Web from Control from anyone... and Public Domain... If the companies get burned by being candy-coated airheads.. then they either need to change what they are doing or pull-out... Same thing with censorship... Do we wear headband and noise filters walking down the street that cover-up and weed-out what we hear and see.. to fit our fantasist views and beliefs or seemingly deep-seated moral obligation to pay recompense for some horrible thing we heard about that happened to some traumatized individual who decided to effect decision making for the next 300 years of civilization.. with all disregard for or from understanding ourselves as the human animal in any way.. so we can stay as far away from being anything more than the undeveloped idiots we are? Are we opting out for idealistic control.. because someone lost hope thousands of years ago that we had any potential to expand in our knowledge or abilities as a gene-pool?Really horrendous things... and the mistake is repeated generation after generation, as we sit here happy in our cages with our collars and told we are 'Good' when we obey.. and don't defecate in the floor.. or piss ourselves with giddy excitement... When we curtsy and prance around the ones who still blind us so we can teach every following generation the same.. as a way of life without even knowing or acknowledging these things ourselves... nor the ideal even being viewed as nothing more that some crazed mad man who can be hung tortured and killed for deviating from the path cut into backs and souls of the hard work and pain of generations past and to come.. because we simply can't get over it.. or do any better... because we want it all EASY and shit.. and what in the hell is it going to take for them to destroy and screw up and how stupid will it have to be.. to finally have people have some form of objectivity and focus in simply existing and having things run smoothly again..Ever been in a store and felt like you walking behind a herd of mindless cows?.... wandering aimlessly through the store or like in life possibly.. I know lets sit up here and say that we are about freedoms.. and create the same prison for ourselves because we are nothing better at understanding a thing.. and trying to appease idiots... on a very underdeveloped level.. but we'll just call it something else... put a different coat of paint on it....Really sometimes I sit here and wonder if people are that unhappy and disgusted with what they are inside their minds and bodies.. that they must create all of this COVER... of every form of existence... that they have to hide developing part of themselves because they have to sell their soul to the machine instead.. IF its that bad... Well.. I think I just need to send you a box of Golden Razor Blades for Christmas... and wish a Merry Happy Sado-Masochistic Incarceration in the hell which you will effect for the next 200 years or so.. by making mistakes.. the whole time knowing your doing so.. How to people like that keep from blowing their own heads off before they accidentally destroy humanity with some manifestation of psychological recourse that they don't even comprehend....I mean really OMG... traumatic experience for a human child to see something that goes on like crazy EVERYWHERE... that is the reason he/she is here.. and something they need to develop and understand so they don't become some closet-cased .. freak who punishes themselves in some mixed level of gratification and repentance for carrying out a natural function of the body they were given.. OR becomes the one so ashamed they turn to rape and violence.. or molestation... Lets all hide ourselves in shame.. create infrastructures in our existence... Maybe they make it all horrible so we don't over run the Earth like rabbits.. and become quite expendable.. well beyond anything they can handle nor will resources allow...BAD, BAD, BAD Little Boy or Girl you are... Its comes as no surprise however that people this incapable of doing some of the simplest things and disallowing some of the stupidest over-sites to occur throughout the planet.. would also be completely unable to raise their own children... and be better at it than the previous generation... REALLY...Anyway not really a rant but just my thoughts... No this isn't punishment to encourage something better, just a factual observation as far as I am concerned.. Introverted freaks of tomorrow... killing every part of us by some ideal that isn't realistic... and destroying every functioning part of us.. leading straight to failure... and of course.. those very people step right in and act as the savor when the subject is approached.. that extends the problem and maybe even puts it into a sickening cycle that may never go forward nor ever repair...I think I could get more out of a 'Head-on-a-Stick'..... Fear of handling carefully.. not a protective barrier... Its an ideal which disallows psychological development... and teaches something else entirely..
