Marik
thanks for the news...got my lic...scanned, and it found thousand of errors....over 10000 to be exact....which made me a little worried :lmao:I'll try reading more about this app, before I actually press that fix button
tysroby
The first time i read about this software was here. There is no need to be skeptical about the huge amount of unnecessary files or errors it finds. I use it regularly on my system and it works fine. 360Amigo received favorable reviews on techsupportalert, MakeUsOf and ghacks. So I don't think you should worry, it won't delete anything it shouldn't, it only does a very good job :)
avmad
Thanks tysroby.I think I've used it before, a long time ago, but not sure. Anyway im giving it a go  It found about 8000 things to clean up. Thats after running Ccleaner, Glary and TU2011. Im all backed up so thought I'd try it, that was about 2 hours ago and my pc is still working. I always think that anything finding so many files, especially reg files is deleting empty keys, that are on the system for a reason. I suppose I will find out sometime  I didn't dare scan again after, maybe it would find another 8000 :fear: I would say as always use at your own risk, make sure your backed up etc, or just stick with what you already know. It seems ok for me so far. Can't see anything new brought to the table over other options. From what I've read the older versions messed up by deleting important reg keys, but I've not read anyone having that problem with this version. Theres always going to be some (usually me :D )I wasn't going to try it but thought I'd take one for the nsane team :D (Im still waiting to see if I won a Hitman pro license from the site, its been a while though so don't hold up much hope)
RadioActive
Interesting but I can't help but be skeptical myself. My experience with kind (similar) of software is unpleasant to say the least.
manu
there so many softwares claiming to speed up pc, but for windows 7 tune up utilities and advanced system care usually suffice. or do they?
avmad
Decided to rollback my system as I was getting errors. Took a while but my programs were not shutting down properly. Last straw was when I couldn't even shut down the pc. Switched it on today and set it back to before this prog and its all ok again. YMMV but I won't use the cleaner part of software gain. Unless your screwed already.
IrfCore
avmad, did you use the full registry scan?I used the quick method and I like it, windows menus are more responsive.Seems like a nice collection of tools, will investigate further :)
tysroby
I used a full scan and nothing bad happened. Now i have an extra 1,9 GB of space on my system disk. Although I scanned for junk files with CCleaner before running Amigo. But If anybody else will experience similar problems as avmad, I'll stop using it too. IrfCore
I would advise caution for full registry scanDo the quick first and then do the full, and check what it has found...Seems like everyone get the same license, does it end with FA1F2? avmad
I only used the default scan on the start page. May not have been this that caused probs, but a bit of a coincedence. It didn't turn out as bad as some cleaners though. I didn't win the Hitman license either :(
OhMyGod
This product is junk and very dangerous. I tested on my WinXP test system and after using the registry cleaner and rebooting, my computer had so many errors that I had to re-install Windows. Before using this product my WinXP ran excellent no errors at all, but 360Amigo reported that I had well over 2000 errors. Then after I re-install Windows, I did a scan on my fresh install and it detected 1309 errors. This product is almost as bad as a virus because it tells you that you have all of these errors but they are really just important registry keys needed by Windows to function properly. I believe this falls under the category of malicious scareware. Another thing strange about this software company, they use a proxy service to hide their registrant (whois) info a very bad move for a new company. Most legitimate software vendors want people to know who they are, hiding whois info is commonly used by rogue vendors. Thanks. :)
tysroby
I ran both the junk file scan and registry scan on 3 different windows 7 32 bit systems, without encountering any problems. The great amount of errors and junk files only occurred on the first scan. Rescanning the respective PCs a few days - a week later, resulted in a small amount of errors that needed fixing. Could it be that problems after fixing registry errors only occur on systems running XP? I can't find a detailed review of this software anywhere. I usually trust apps presented on ghacks, but they are giving it away free over there so, maybe their review isn't that objective. I don't know what to make of amigo360. I found it to be very useful so far. But some of you had serious problems after running it.Anyway, here is a FAQ section from their homepage, maybe it will answer some of your questions.
