Process Lasso 4.00.18

<img src="http://www.nsanedown.com/images/logos/process_lasso.gif" class="logo" alt="Process Lasso" title="Process Lasso" />Process Lasso improves system performance, responsiveness, and stability during high loads through dynamic adjustments to process priority classes. It can also automatically terminate undesired processes, apply default priorities and CPU affinities to processes, limit the number of instances a process can have, and log all processes. It is not a task manager replacement, but does have task manager like capabilities to compliment its primary functions. Process Lasso runs on all editions of Windows 2000, XP, 2003, 2008, Vista, and Windows 7.

Thanks, but I get this when trying to get the patch

Either the file is not in our database, or there was an error during the query. Sorry.

Looks like more trouble than i can handle...

First my NIS2011 showed the patch as some virus.. So i disabled AutoProtection(Because i trust it as it came from nSane Front Page :-) ). And then teh patch said that it can't access teh exe file.. So i had to run it as Administrator. Then, IS flagged the ProcessLasso.exe as "Hig Risk" item and deleted it. It didn't even give me an option to "Exclude this file". Any Poiters? (Or Do i have to go back to the previous 3.x .. ?)

@Rajesh:

If Norton acts like that, then ditch it. If an AV is too stupid not to recognize real malware, then it's worthless ^_^

maybe you can try something first

restart comp

disable norton realtime protection

exclude the patch file and processlasso.exe file from NIS setting manually..

patch the file

run process lasso

exclude*** norton process from process lasso gui

enable norton protection

see it works or not ...

Well.. Excluding the ProcessLasso.exe from SONAR scanning *before* applying the patch did the trick..

With this one, i see slowing down of my system more often than the 3.8 (I've used 3.8 for some time..). Or is it just me? I'll watch for a few more days (and few more reboots)..
