Started off with WinZip...

Then used ZipGenius for some time.... then it became a little buggy and heavy...

Turned to TugZip... performing quite well...

Damm that was long time ago...

Its been WinRAR for a few years now..

Started with winzip about 8 years ago. Then I saw this program called winrar on a school computer (someone had been naughty) I checked it out and I have been hooked ever since.

Both WinZip and 7-zip. Winzip for normal zipin and 7-Zip for really good compression and able to open some .exe and .msi files.

Well i have to mention it. Just yesterday with the help of the link Tucker gave me some time ago, I found out that a program called StuffIt is the best for compressing mp3 files. And I tried it, it is really worth. It had compressed my mp3 to a great compression ratio. So if you wanna compress mp3 files I recommend StuffIt.

Why back to WinRAR? :(

I said maybe ;)

It was a bit more comfortable I think. For example, in 7Z you can't open a compressed picture, but in WRAR you can.

The only thing that keeps me on 7Z is that it's free. I always prefer free software to paid, I respect that... but only when the free soft is as good or better. If it is worse, I become a criminal :(

OK. I see. Cmon it free. :D

ANW you can use winrar for openin but use 7Zip for compressing. It's better for compression, IMO.

I don't compress too much. So I would prefer the one which reads and decompresses better.
