Started off with WinZip...

Then used ZipGenius for some time.... then it became a little buggy and heavy...

Turned to TugZip... performing quite well...

WinRAR. After I downloaded a >rar file I started using it and didn't bother to get another prog.

i started off with winzip, then winace, and finally ended up with winrar...for basic usage. but, i also use 7zip on some things since the 7z format can compress even better than rar on un-packed data

Started off with WinZip, then emmigrated to WinRAR.

I don't like the sound of TugZip though :P Unless of course it's a woman doing it ;)

started at winZIP. Moved to winRar.. then to winAce.. then back to WinRar.. I got 7zip installed but I dont like their gui... its missing a lot of features. :P

that, and 7zip isnt really used widespread yet.

I use WinZip for my office needs & WinRAR for all warez purposes. That said, recent versions of these utilities are cross compatible with not only each other but many other compressions tools, too.

7-zip for me, used to it, first ones were WinZip/WinRAR

I like winrar, it has very friendly GUI and workflow. 7-zip is good with high compress ratio, but a bit hard to use.

I like view command in winrar, it can show me what is the SFX-archive, not as 7-zip.

WinRAR is the best of all,

But I use 7-Zip with it to compress .7z files

WinRAR since years.. it's not only compression that let it pwn WinZip, but also the GUI which got me hooked to the app from the first time i used it..

the way you can browse thru files.. just brilliant..

and great compression w/o still taking ages (or tons of ram) to extract/compress..
