Announced last month, Acrobat X also adds Actions, multi-step automated guides that can be defined to walk users through complex processes, such as stripping out sensitive metadata in order prepare a document for public release. The tool is now available through Adobe authorised resellers, the Adobe Store and Adobe Direct Sales. The free-to-download Adobe Reader X is expected to be available by the end of the month. Acrobat X is available in Standard and Pro versions for Windows, the chief difference being the ability to create PDF Portfolio files in Pro.
