nsane.forums
The war against Amazon selling controversial pedophilic materials isn't over. MSNBC found several product listings on Amazon that showed explicit photographs of naked underage children. The materials in question, both books and videos, depict prepubescent Eastern European and Asian girls, and are for sale on Amazon in the U.S. and Japan.Image is from MSNBCThis discovery comes one day after Amazon conceded to public outcries and pulled The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-Lover's Code of Conduct, a controversial e-book by Phillip R. Greaves II, from its Kindle Store. Some say the book condoned and instructed readers on how to engage in child molestation, and get away with it.However -- and without having a copy of the book at hand (big caveat there) -- the book's summary does not appear to do either. As I delineated in an post published Thursday, the book may have been, in a way, misunderstood. The books and videos for sale on Amazon that MSNBC found depict underage nudity and are classified as "naturist" or "nudist" materials and are not necessarily "pornographic." Naturism's philosophy and its general practice forbid child pornography and child molestation. Still, the social and political movement consistently walks on the fine line of lawfulness, and though nudism has had legal successes in communities such as Daytona Beach, more often than not the practice is shunned, mocked, or altogether banned.Lawyer James Marsh, one of the key advocates behind Masha's Law, a federal law that gives victims of child sex abuse photography the right to sue producers, distributors and even those in possession of pornographic images of children, spoke to MSNBC. Marsh contends that Amazon should not use the First Amendment to justify marketing and selling nudist materials."It's not about First Amendment rights. It's about what material a good corporate citizen should be making available to the public. And that's the kind of decision Amazon should be making," Marsh told MSNBC.It's important to note that Amazon did not, in fact, use the First Amendment as a defense in either the case against The Pedophile's Guide or in the naked images on its site. Amazon has not commented on the latter case.Amazon did, however, use the First Amendment in 2002 when defending its right to sell Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers. Though Amazon briefly took Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers off its site, the book is currently available for purchase. So where should Amazon draw the line -- or should it draw any lines at all? Are the naturist materials pornography or just the expression of a subculture, one that has had numerous legal problems but has not yet been outlawed? If the battle against this kind of content continues -- which some are labeling censorship -- will it set a new standard for removing salable goods on Amazon?A tricky issue, to be sure. We'll have to wait and see how Amazon reacts to this particular case. View: Original Article
irefay
First Amendment rights are very important. However, in this case, it should be obvious that the child has a right to privacy especially from (explicative) perverts.
Smoore
These are mostly naturist photo's. A couple are teen girls topless rolling around. People should remember that in alot of the world, especially Europe, topless children are a way of life. I worked with a guy in his 70's that went on vacation in Europe and had a family with their 14 yr. old topless daughter join him in the jacuzzi. Now to the untrained this would appear to be some sort of group child molestation. I have been involved in nudist colonies and have seen entire families living naked. Evil is in the person, not the image. If the parents are consenting then a naked child is beautiful. The guilt & dirt are in you, not the kids. HX1
Evil is in the person,...That... I would definitely agree with. I think the big stink.. in the matter.. would be though to picture.. letting a ' pedo ' run around within the community your talking about... That is isn't about it being okay nor people themselves being able to take it and understand it in the right light... but more about what _____________ troll.. is using it to ' Take care of his/her business.. ' ...on top of that people are quite afraid that any material or situations, that feed one of these ____________ trolls... may drive them to commit these crimes...Fear, trauma, and several other factors come into play as well when it comes to this.. Some freak out over every little thing.. but I think in their minds.. All roads lead there... because of their problem... even within stereotypes, especially within older generations.. some because of their own experiences.. and end effects of times like in the ' Depression Era ' when people would sell their children... stories of murders, sexual, mental, and physical abuse... None of the normal things are ever around in their lives.. and that is really the only thing psychologically they have to connect to some things.. Taking it within the bounds of what it is in reality, versus what went on in their head, is a vastly different thing... It, if recovered from.. can take years to rebound to a state of stability to even be able to view a normal situation.. about love between to normal everyday people... without having a train of thought which derails the proper perspective, thought pattern, or the ability to hold it within the right light.. It is a vast subject... and as troubling as it may seem, the events within lives can effect it in the end.. Rarely does one ever regain innocence lost.. can be very hard to recover or even to feel and enjoy life on that level again.. psychosis.. it can be as hard to exist normally.. but I never believed that it should be harder to be able to, than it is for these __________ trolls.. because of the effect and impact they have.. by simply existing... Atasas
Freedom of speech gone bonkers!Hard to get everything in perspective, but cultural differences can not be excuse for perverts to thrive and amazon had pushed its luck few times too many. There are load of "near acceptable" forms of perversion (Prostitution one of them) and most often society creates breeding ground by being tolerant or influential instead of family values being a core of human development. I do remember case, where paedo had an excuse by saying, that seeing child abuse case he had became involved in to research until he had turned in to one.... :frusty:. Madness!
