The latest report from DisplaySearch shows that buyers aren't keen on paying extra for 3D displays. Consumer electronics companies and games manufacturers have been pushing 3D display technology bu seem to have found little takeup. While TV manufacturers have bold plans and a lot of new products, consumers remain cautious, said Paul Gray, Director of TV Electronic Research. Consumers have been told that 3D TV is the future, but there still remains a huge price jump and little 3D content to watch. The same situation is mirrored in the corporate world, with few applications using 3D technology and no compelling business case for the new technology. Games manufacturers have also been keen it integrate technology but have found little uptake. To add to 3D's woes some people are not capable of viewing computer generated 3D images.
