HX1
Official end release? What about the other Live apps..? BTW the MsgPlusLive numbers are outdated.. but the very last version available triggers AV/Spyware because of inclusions in the installer they have made.. so the next to the last version ( which I have if anyone needs it.. )
Administrator DKT27 Posted September 30, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted September 30, 2010 Fixed Homepage link. It's official final version.Unfortunately, there is no WLM only installer. It comes with full Windows Live Essentials installer that has all the Live apps that comes with it. You can select what to install/not to install. Administrator DKT27 Posted September 30, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted September 30, 2010 Yes, it's something I totally forgot. Windows Live Essentials may not work on XP or previous versions of Windows. We all can see that M$ is pushing hard for people to use Windows 7. HX1
LOL... I dunno.. XP won't even be supported after awhile.. sort of like NT and 95..
eqagunn
We XP users don't get the privilege of installing WLE 2011.....we must either upgrade to vista or w7 to use it.I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 since July of 2009. Installed it right after final RTM was compiled. If anyone comes across working solution, please reply, as I currently don't have time to testall those stupid recommendations about uninstalling AV software and such. After unsuccessful first attempt of installation, I uninstall old version, deleted folders that ware still present, used Windows Installer Clean Up tool to remove entries form Windows Installer database, and rebooted after that.Disabled ESS and tried to install again, same error still persists.I bet there are few registry entries that are causing all this shit, but to manually go and delete every onethat contains "Windows Live", I'm totally not in the mood for doing that right now. HX1
Linking the new apps but not liking having to run more programs to sign in.. unless there is better security involved.. and for some reason last night, I wound up with the new Silverlight Facebook Client.. Like/LOVE the UI.. wondering how everyone else likes it.. or if anyone uses it.. Did I mention it was fast and smooth in operation....

Administrator DKT27 Posted October 1, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted October 1, 2010 They should not force users, but Windows 7 may work fine on any good computer that is able to run XP. Maybe not that well, but it's not impossible. Except the RAM that is, but RAM isn't too expensive either..
Marik
Except the RAM that is, but RAM isn't too expensive either..at least you know how to take a hint.maybe ram isn't that expensive where you come from, but it sure is expensive as f**k where I come from.the price is not the same for everybody, and I'm sure there are lots of ppl with this kind of situation as well. Administrator DKT27 Posted October 1, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted October 1, 2010 It's India, I got my ATI 5450 at double the price of what people are getting in US. RAM is comparatively less expensive than other computer parts, and Windows 7 works just fine on just 2GB RAM on x64 with all the features enabled.
