3NIGM4
yeh, but withoutbeing paranoid- its still tons safer and better than M$ Yeah maybe, but just saying that when you thought you were safe with openoffice flaws are revealed. I use M$ stuff and openoffice everyday at my job (im a stage technician, doing shows and congress) and i must say that the compatibility between the 2 are not as fine as openoffice claim it to be. I encounter tons of problem, from fonts to corrupt files. Thing is : M$ have the standart as most people use that crap and openoffice doesnt do the job on the field YET. Openoffice is not safer than microsoft suites, what make you think its safer is because is not widely used or attacked just like firefox.

3NIGM4
I didnt ask any question just answering your thoughts that OpenOffice is safer than M$. I was saying that the program itself is not safer its just the circumstance that make it less prone to hacked for their lack of popularity. Atasas
The matter in simple matematical terms- there are less chance to get some nasty's using good old OpenOffice than patched up M$ one.Regards usability- I've used it with one complicated piece of database (exell) on a verry slow/old PC and result was quite stark difference in favour of Open.Without any mentioning that's officialy freeware and not made by M$ (Cracks, patches, updates - none of it is realy healthy)
