Windows Update Alternative?

Since this version of windows is "tinier" than a regular XP, the update feature is gone, and so, i cant use the windows update feature. Now, this poses a problem. Any other time, I would secure my computer to the 20th degree, but, im not the only one who uses this laptop, so i cant.

I've used WSUS, but, it wont let me install, giving me some form of error. Used software patcher/app patcher, but it doesn't seem to do it all.

So, any other ways of doin it?

@elohelomg:

3 things.

  1. Windows XP ISO
    - I don't know if you have x86 or x64 so you have to get it yourself.
    - Once you have it, extract to any folder.
  2. nLite
    - You can get it here. Go to RyanVM Forums for update packs.
    - Use nLite to integrate the update pack with the XP Installer.
    - After integration, do an upgrade install.
  3. XPLite
    - This program will let you add / remove unnecessary components from Windows XP.
    Download:
    MediaFire . com sharecode is /?9bqwb2kj9t42i7j

You can't take out much, but at least components will function properly.

eXperience used a lot of tools, including nLite. I'm not sure about the others, it's his secret :P
