Thanks for the update. :)

Note: This is final for sure. Mozilla takes time updating their pages. Please don't confuse yourself.

hehe, after installing 3.6.8 when you load up firefox it loads up the ff page and the page says this "You’re running an unknown version of Firefox.

For security reasons, we recommend downloading the latest and greatest version."

you can check out the link here. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.6.8/whatsnew/

looks like you guys get this stuff a bit too quick, don't even give them the chance to update.

I was so ready to pawn any posting commenting on this not being a final :D

But as stated by DKT27 it takes some time for Mozilla to update their pages.

Lot of users protested against Mozilla because v.3.6.7 disabled addon «IDM CC» so they give us this new version with that situation corrected ( I guess ). :)

One could say that even a minor update of Firefox is major though somehow :D

jofre is right. After the Firefox 3.6.7 fiasco that completely blocklisted Internet Download Manger, they had to put out Firefox 3.6.8.

They sound like politicians now when they say

Fixed a single stability issue affecting some pages containing plugins.

What does that mean exactly? If you look at Firefox 3.6.8's complete list of changes, all you see is:

Fri Jul 23 2010 15:21:30 PDT

status1.9.2: .8-fixed

Zarro Boogs found.

Shame on Firefox. :bag:

Probably most of us might've noticed the recent builds (3.6.x) run a new process . . . . . . . . plugin-container.exe

Hmmm, my previous reply isn't showing up. I just updated my netbook to Firefox 3.6.8 — did that have something to do with it?

As in my post above, Firefox 3.6.8's complete list of changes even now still shows 'Zarro Boogs found.' So it doesn't sound as though any EXE file was fixed. But as we have seen with Firefox 3.6.7, the blocklist file is changed without any testing or formal submission procedures. I still think jofre is right.
