Night Owl Posted June 10, 2010 Share Posted June 10, 2010 The Ultimate Defrag News site, estimated back in April that Ultimate Defrag 3 would be out in mid June.I don't know if I would trust the first release though. That news site says:A few problems occurred which significantly delayed the release. The biggest contributor was the loss of our lead programmer who developed and was working on updates to the boot time defragmentation module including 64 bit boot time defragmentation, essential for defragmentation of 64 bit O/S system files.We had to begin work again almost from square one to rebuild this highly specialized code as well as create 64 bit code for 64 bit O/S which was a whole new challenge in itself considering the additional security in 64 bit versions of Windows XP, Vista and 7.
