Hitman6267 Posted December 26, 2006 Share Posted December 26, 2006 Hi, I want to be able to play .avi files in windows media player without installing any programs, currently i have the DivX installed so it runs each time WMP plays a .avi file, my question what are the essential things i need to play popular video (most importantly .avi) in WMP so i guess im asking for a codec or anything that will do the job. Also if any one has a link for a codec that will make .rm .ram compatible with WMP please give it to me.P.S: I'm using the latest version of Windows Media Player which is version 11.
