Karlston
The series stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer, and you can watch the first trailer now. After teasing the series with some first-look images yesterday, Amazon is finally properly unveiling its Blade Runner streaming series. Called Blade Runner 2099, the show hits Prime Video on November 25th with all eight episodes dropping at once. We also got the first trailer for the series, which is full of Blade Runner staples: a bleak futuristic LA, dramatic narration, and some really good coats. The show is helmed by Silka Luisa, previously showrunner on Apple TV’s adaptation of Shining Girls, while original Blade Runner director Ridley Scott is signed on as an executive producer. 2099 stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer and, as the name implies, takes place a few decades after Denis Villeneuve’s film Blade Runner 2049. Here’s the official premise: Fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, Los Angeles has been reborn, just not by humanity. Cora, a fugitive in a final bid to stop running, takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner. Forced to partner with Olwen, a Replicant days from dying, she hunts down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse their fragile city. But it’s coming at what could be a good time for cyberpunk television, as Apple is also working up an adaptation of William Gibson’s Neuromancer. Source Hope you enjoyed this news post.
