Showing wrong amount of RAM

Hi, after my pc came from the company which was fixing it, 2 things happened, in "System Properties" it says i have 0.99GB of RAM when i have 1GB, why is that ( it used to say 1 GB). Also the "Stand by" option is grayed out in (I cannot press it) in start>turn off computer ( btw does any one know why it's written turn off computer? Why is the u underlined lol i just noticed it.) Does the stand by thing have to do with me using the VGA that came with the motherboard instead of the ATI which they are going to re-install soon?

Most prob it says 0.99Gb bcoz some part ur RAM (main mem) for onboard graphics...

When u install ur ATI graphics card it should be back to 1Gb

The underline indicates that u can use the underlined alphabet on the keyboard to activate that option..

In ur case wen u see(Turn OFF) that.. see what happens wen u press "u" on ur keyboard.

To automatically put your computer on standby

1. Open Power Options in Control Panel.

2. In Power Schemes, click the down arrow, and then select a power scheme The time settings for the power scheme are displayed in System standby, Turn off monitor, and Turn off hard disks.

So you've lost (or never had) Standby and/or Hibernate?
