Intel: Malicious Software and Viruses Can Be a Thing of the Past

Viruses, malicious code, spyware and other security threats may become a past worry says Intel. According to Intel, its R&D team is hard at work on a technology called Trusted Execution Technology -- previously called LaGrande. Abbreviated as TXT, Intel's Trusted Execution Technology will use hardware keys and subsystems to control what part of a computer's resources can be accessed and who or what will be granted or denied access.

Going beyond the NX bit, or the Non-execution bit that is currently enabled inside recent processors from both AMD and Intel, TXT will bring a whole new dimension of security to PCs. In fact, TXT will also be able to work in a virtualized environment on systems with Intel's VT technology. Guest operating systems will be able to take advantage of features on a TXT-enabled platform.

:(

To dream don't cost nothing

The important is that you believe in your own words. ;)

AMD will be behind the INTEL forever. It don't matter if you love AMD or if you are AMDs fanatic number #1. They've been eating the dust of INTEL for years.

Sorry if I made you to feel sad

Don't worry be happy :dance2: there're many INTEL cpus for you. go get it.

I thought the forum rules stated that we are NOT allowed to send our opinions in such a way as to be considered flaming...he is definitely right up to the line there but not really crossing it ..... but extremely close to going over??????

Yes, he is definitely right up to the line there but not really crossing it ... :P

Intel will cap off a turnaround year on Tuesday with the expected introduction of its first quad-core processors, beating rival Advanced Micro Devices to the punch by several months.

Again as the above quote says he may be right.. But AMD should/would come up with something...but in time...

hmmmm well AMD always will come up with something. that made them keep up. But Honestly INTEL owns the market. that helps them to get more money. so they can invert in new technologies.

Now INTEL is the Number 1, AMD is doing it well. but they need to make something really important if they wanna to win to Intel.

Well that is that I think :P
