Hi,

dell Workstation T7500 starting problems (win 10 pro)

1. Takes 10 minutes to boot, on/off LED goes to amber color and green during boot-up.

2. Can not enter into BIOS

3. After sometime shut down by itself.

Please suggest to solve.

TIA

My first thought would be that the hard drive or SSD might be faulty. It's also possible that the SATA cable is damaged or has come loose. I would recommend disconnecting the hard drive or SSD completely to see if you can then access the BIOS without issues. Important: Make sure the PC is powered off before doing that!

Additionally, I would recommend trying to boot from a bootable USB flash drive. A good option is to search this forum for "Strelec."
https://nsaneforums.com/topic/472445-winpe-11-10-sergei-strelec-x64-20250522-english-update-patch/

It’s a comprehensive toolkit that includes several useful utilities, such as CrystalDiskInfo, which can read the SMART values of hard drives and SSDs. (Instructions for creating a bootable USB drive are included in the archive.)

That said, I've had cases where the SMART values looked fine, but the drive was still faulty, resulting in extremely long boot times. In general, bad SMART values are a safe indication of a problem, but good values don’t necessarily mean the drive is trouble-free.

You could also check for overheating.

--> Ensure all fans spin up on boot.

--> Clean out all fans (CPU, PSU, chassis).

--> Reseat CPU heatsinks and apply fresh thermal paste if needed.

So, it's a HDD?

Have you tried booting from WinPE Strelec?

Were you able to access the BIOS without any issues after disconnecting the HDD?

Have you checked the SMART values of the drive?

I doubt that formatting the drive and reinstalling Windows would resolve the issue.
