Just booted in safemode networking Kaspersky is able to update.

well, run complete scan to make sure that there are no virus in your computer

better if you run the kido killer first

after the scan complete, reboot normal and try to connect back to internet

better if you use firefox

if already have it,reinstall/upgrade using the latest version installer

try to surf to website that you were not able to visit without using proxy

if problem still exist, try this tool

FixWin

Microsoft Fixit

When I disable Kaspersky the problem stops though I can't seem where to allow firefox connections etc. It is Kaspersky 2010.

I have now uninstalled it and the problem still persists.

01.) Is the internet issue present 'without re-installing KIS?'

02.) Is the internet issue present 'after re-installing KIS?'

03.) Is the internet issue affecting any other Program (besides KIS) . . . . . . . now?

Change your DNS server. I remember I used to get this login problem when I used my ISP's DNS. And it sucked. Use OpenDNS or GoogleDNS.

In order to really be of any assistance to you, we need to have a categorical response. It's very unclear as to what what you've tried and what you haven not. :(

Try to ping IP addresses , first in your LAN and second in your Wan. All this using DOS console (launched in admin mode).

Now see if you have the echo back.

seems like it is better if you backup all your data and reformat

recreate the partition to ensure no virus/leftover exist

make sure you install KIS before you connect to internet

recently i tried to repair my friend pc

it took hours for me to finish it but the problem occur back after a while :frusty:

reformat and install all necessary software

pc going alive again
