Administrator DKT27 Posted April 19, 2010 Administrator Share Posted April 19, 2010 Good news for folks who missed the preorder deadline for the 3G version of the iPad: Apple has finally given the device a hard ship-date: Friday, May 7. That's three days before the company is set to announce international pricing for the iPad and begin taking online preorders for the device, which it has delayed selling abroad because of high demand in the U.S. Incidentally, if you're among the early adopters who preordered an iPad 3G when it first went on sale, you're still likely to receive yours by late April. According to an e-mail message Apple sent out Monday morning, the company still intends to ship preorders by the end of this month, as promised. Here is the text of that message: To Our Valued Apple Customer: Thank you for your recent order of the magical and revolutionary iPad 3G. We would like to confirm that your order will be shipped in late April as communicated at the time you placed your order. You will receive a confirmation notice when your order has shipped. You can get up-to-date information about your order, including shipping status and tracking number, at Apple Order Status. Thank you for choosing Apple. Sincerely,The Apple Store TeamSource: CNET
