My usual method is a 10mm drill or a slater's hammer, whichever I reach first. Done countless like that over the years.

 

I guess this method means the drive can be re-used though. Mine... not so much.

 

Seriously though, nice info 👍

 

In addition, my HP PCs have a secure erase function in the BIOS. I think Dell does too. Useful because you don't even need a bootable OS.
