OK, this is what I did ...

First I tried to exit from Comodo, problem remains ...

There is only cmdagent.exe running in memory from Comodo but I can't kill it.

So, I decided to uninstall Comodo.

After reboot it's working (with Prevx running of course).

Then I installed Comodo again and I have the same problem again.

Jeesh .... I don't know what to do now, I like both Prevx and Comodo.

But there were some problems uninstalling Comodo, after reboot Comodo folder was still there full of files, registry also ...

Guess I'm gonna try to find some Comodo uninstall cleaner (complete removal or something like that) and then try again.

No, I never installed it and I never install any toolbar or anything similiar.

So, to update ... I uninstalled CIS4 , verything is working fine.

Then I decided to clean every trace of Comodo both in HD and registry.

Did that with RegVac and CCleaner, then manually by searching anything to do with Comodo and deleted everything.

Then I opted for Comodo 3.14 instead of 4 , so I installed 3.14 , again same problem ....

This is sick, I mean, I KNOW it works (Comodo and Prevx together without that problem (any browser process after closing is still running)) but something is wrong in my current OS which prevents that.

Anyhow, I don't want to drop Prevx, so I'm now in the process of finding replacment for Comodo and look for some other Firewall+HIPS combo.

That's that :)

Could you check: does it use 50% after you closed it only, or when you're using it as well?

Just when I close it, exactly 50% , same thing with every browser (Safari, IE, Firefox)

When it's running it is normal usage 0-5%

CIS is removed, OutpostPro is installed , no more problems :)

Thank You guys for all suggestions :flowers:

I would have uninstalled Prevx, and install Comodo again, just to check if it's only because Prevx + Comodo combination. You may like to have a look at Comodo Forums. ;)

I checked that, without Prevx and with Comodo it's ok, with Prevx and without Comodo it's ok.

It's only the combo.

Problem here was that something was already messed up from before , and I wasn't able to clean that (don't know what that is).

Another thing is that Prevx+Comodo works in clean OS (I tested that, both on WinXP and Win7)

OutpostPro is OK for now, I've disabled Webguard and Anti-Spyware as I don't need it.

There used to be a tool you can use to monitor registry access on startup...Like a Registry Trace... I think ( I could be wrong ) This could shed some light on DLL's and registry values that are related.. Other than that I would consider it a Bug that would need to be reported to the necessary software provider..

Have IE Pro 7?

Try disabling any plugins in IE. Or use a tweak that combines all the ie processors into one. If it still doesn't work, IE sucks. :P

that's why IE 9 will rock

but Firefox 4.0 will pwn
