Chancer
I have a laptop (Lenovo) that had Win10 installed. It had some issues so I decided to reformat and start again. I have installed Win11 but it is the home version. It appears to have a System Locked Pre-installation key. Is there a way to 'bypass' the embedded key so I can install Win 11 Pro? alf9872000
The version of Win 10 which was installed, was it Home or Pro version ? For me, it was the Home version and Win 11 detected this version and therefore installed the Home version. You can use MAS (Microsoft Activation Scripts) v1.8 to change your version of Win 11. rockyanexpert
search for a file named "ei.cfg" on internet. download and place it in /sources folder of windows install media. while installing, it will ask for the version of windows, you want to install. DLord
I would re-installing the Win 10, change the installation to Pro (using MAS mentioned by @alf9872000 above), and then upgrade to Win 11 Pro.
