bigbrother
I recently built a new small/medium form factor PC dedicated as a Plex Media Server and now I'm seeking some large capacity hard drives to setup in a RAID configuration for media redundancy. I currently looking at a pair or more of Seagate EXOS 18x 18TB hard drives with a 5 year warranty. However, I'm interested to know what anyone else in the Nsane Community has done and/or used for this type of application. Any ideas, thoughts and/or suggestions are greatly welcomed. Thanks in advance!
DLord
Good choice for the hard drive, but remember RAID redundancy is mainly achieved through higher number of drives rather than high storage size on one or two drives. The whole point is being ready for RAID members to go offline/fail by having the data backed up on various other members (preferably over 5 members).
