Latest Firefox 3.7 pre-alpha adds built-in Aero glass support

Ages ago, Mozilla gave us all a sneak peek at what the updated default theme might look like in Firefox 3.7. In January, the UI elements finally made their first appearance. Now, it looks like Aero glass support has been switched on for users running Windows 7 and Vista.

You can see the change from 3.7 Alpha 2 (top) to 3.7a4pre (bottom). As you can see, it's no longer just the title bar and window border -- Firefox's main, navigation, and bookmarks menus are now all glassed-out.

From what we've seen in our comments previously, not all of you are going to be excited about all-over transparency. While I haven't found an about:config value yet to disable the glass effect, I don't doubt that one exists (or will be added before 3.7 is complete).

Despite earlier rumors, a Firefox 3.7 release is still part of Mozilla's plans -- we ought to see it sometime in May or June of this year.

I want v4 fast now after I have Windows 7. :tooth:

@Biz: If you can get 3-4GB RAM total, you wont have any problems running Windows 7. My cousin tested and told me that it's more faster than XP. :o

Hmm not sure if just me, but it's a nice touch, although I noticed that if I have multiple tabs oopen (More than 1 row worth), the whole CENTER screen becomes mutilated and unreadable, but if I quit the tabs till 1 row is left everything is fine.

@SacredCultivator:

Since you're using nightly builds of FF, did Mozilla fix the screen corruption on 3.7?

I like the 3.7 look.

Wont mind if 4.0 will look like this.

4.0 out end of this year?
