Just curious what term you guys use these days, when a person can't make it into work due to illness, what do you say "i am call in sick to work or I am calling out to work?"

I am calling in to say I am sick and unable to attend work today .

(You maybe asked what sickness you have or you may say what your sickness is - it is polite to say so)

You're with the wrong employer who doesn't routinely test employees for COVID. And some businesses are still closed until COVID clears.

"When," not "if."
