chlorophyll
Earlier this week, the first details of Office 2010 RTM Escrow made their way out of Redmond and into the wild. At that time, the information available was limited to a Build number and a few pieces of information related to the testers that had actually gotten the bits. A couple of days later, Russian website Wzor leaked screenshots of Office 2010 RTM Escrow Build 14.0.4734.1000. Users will be able to get a taste of what the almost final development milestone of the next iteration of the Office System will bring to the table. Microsoft released a Technical Preview of Office 2010 in mid-2009, and subsequently opened access to the general public in November, when it released the first Beta development milestone of the productivity suite. Office 2010 Beta Build 14.0.4536.1000 continues to be available for download even at this point in time, with Microsoft offering product keys to activate and use the product until October 2010. At the same time, the Redmond company is pushing onward with the development process. The RTM Escrow phase is the last stage before Office 2010 will be released to manufacturing. In fact, the Escrow label means that development has come to a halt, and that both developers and testers are hunting down for any remaining issues (blockers) which could prevent the productivity suite from being released to manufacturing, including regression bugs. The Redmond company has, of course, offered no confirmation of the fact that Office 2010 advanced to RTM Escrow. According to third-party sources, Office 2010 will be RTM’d in April 2010, but when I asked Microsoft about the RTM deadline a representative for company refused to comment. However, a Microsoft spokesperson did confirm that Office 2010 will be made available to the general public in June 2010. source --- softpedia
JessicaLeigh
Thanks for the piccies.I'm in no hurry for the new Office version, because I'm still scarred by Outlook 2007, and I need a lot more time to heal. ;)

HX1
Using 4536.1000.. ( which technically is the current release ) Mine is getting blocked from AIM email.. due to PeerBlock.. That seems to be the only issue I have with it and its actually my fault... Seems to use a little more CPU when switching folders but really I have no problem with it ( being that I am under the minimum requirements as well.. )EDIT: Oh and ESET ESS hasn't integrated with it.. but not a real problem because I switched it over to real-time monitoring.. like a web browser.. and de-integrated it.. Few instances it didn't close according to the Task Tray area.. but I had several things running including erasing on one drive.. only seems to have an issue when really pushing the limits on processing power.. donizme
I can't wait for Office 2010. It hopefully will fix some bugs that are present with Office 2007 on Windows 7. Like pressing the enter button to make a paragraph randomly deletes the pasted text from another source below it. Also some problems with Taskbar integration. These get really annoying...Microsoft have said Office 2010 will ship in July 2010, so my rough estimate is that the RTM will be leaked around April 2010.
Tucker
Same here, after seeing this -> Does anyone here have a CD-size version (or < 1gb) of the latest build (4730 or 4734)?Or can someone slipstream it to just the main office apps (word, powerpoint, excel, publisher, visio) and upload it somewhere please? Thanks!I have looked everywhere and all i could find is a Russian version of build 4730 (710.1 Mb).
