steven36
Planning to edit videos on Linux this week? If so be sure to update to the latest Kdenlive release first, as a new version packed with bug fixes is now available. Kdenlive 20.08.3 is the third and final update in the Kdenlive 20.08 series, a feature-filled run that launched earlier this year to plenty of positive feedback. Among issues ironed out by this update are correctly displayed frame rate values on monitor; opening project files with missing version numbers; and finesse to the Qtcrop video effect. The timeline ruler is now updated properly when switching profile, while project files with a single clip in the timeline are updated to reflect the correct duration. Finally, projecting archiving now checks if archiving is possible, and introduces the option to use zip instead of tar.gz; and a pair of crashes related to keyframes are now resolved. Kdenlive is free, open source software. Older versions are available to install on Ubuntu direct from the repo. To use the latest version of Kdenlive on Ubuntu or you can use a Flatpak build, or to download the official AppImage for Linux or Installers for Windows : Visit Here Remember to give the AppImage permission to run once it is fully downloaded, and move the bundle somewhere safe to avoid accidental deletion. You may prefer to use the official Kdenlive Stable PPA to install the latest build on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and 20.10: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable If you’re really keen to kick the tyres on the editor you can also download the Kdenlive 20.12 beta for early-bird testing, just be aware that bugs will be present.
