Karlston
Microsoft’s Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop 4 appear in leaked images Both new Surface devices are expected in early 2021 Surface Laptop 4 and Surface Pro 8. cozyplanes (Twitter) Microsoft’s next Surface Pro 8 tablet and its upcoming Surface Laptop 4 have appeared in leaked images online. Twitter user cozyplanes discovered the images at what appears to be an FCC-like filing, noting that the Surface Pro 8 may ship with LTE support. Both devices will likely launch early next year, and don’t appear to feature any major updates to their design. Windows Central reports that the Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop 4 could launch as early as mid-January, with 11th Gen Intel processors and Intel’s Xe graphics support. The Surface Laptop 4 is also rumored to include AMD processor options, which will likely be a custom Microsoft chip based on AMD’s Ryzen 4000 series. Microsoft previously co-engineered a special Ryzen Surface Edition processor for the 15-inch Surface Laptop 3, AMD and Microsoft had promised that it had optimized the CPU and GPU performance, but the chipset struggled in basic tasks like 4K video playback. Microsoft typically refreshes its Surface Pro and Surface Laptop lineup in October. The last major update was the Surface Laptop 3 last year, alongside the updated Surface Pro 7. This year saw the introduction of a new Surface Laptop Go model, alongside an updated Surface Pro X. zanderthunder
Surface Studio also deserved to get updates as well, on top of Pro and Laptop variants. It's been 2 years since the last update in 2018.
steven36
Meanwhile IOS has passed windows in the USA again now the MACOS has grew a little but not much . Must be all them Ipads .Microsoft needed to had released a IPad killer this year . Most likely only thing will change this is another lockdown . Windows grew to 33% in July now back down to 30% Before May IOS was way ahead. They passed Windows back in NOV 2019 Windows took the lead back May -Oct it was short lived, MAC OS almost got as much users as Android in the USA they going to pass Google you watch and see. iI may just be the Holidays were every one not home? the pandemic made every thing backward were people was at home all summer . But they not released nothing all year in Laptops but a $500 laptop with a 2019 Intel Processor . Microsoft the company of coming next year ,that all I heard for over a year they said it was going to be 2020 when they was going to release Windows 10x with x86 apps they said this in 2019 then they back tracked they say it want have x86 apps now, they want sell without a full set of apps. Just like they not been able to sell Windows 10s or Windows ARM. We know they have the prototypes they showed them themselves before . Only way they going make a tablet killer is call it something besides Windows. 1. Microsoft closed all there retail stores June 2020 and they was already going close them before the pandemic. 2. Microsoft shots themselves in the foot with hardware only thing going to help them is stop giving away Windows 10 for free and crack down on Piracy like Apple does with IOS , then just sell OEM devices to home users also they would have to cut the middle men out all the PC vendors and they could still sell Windows as a service for enterprise . Microsoft has 100s of millions consumers that not bought a PC since they made Windows 7. 3. They try to sell , rent and giveaway to much software to ever be a success at hardware . They try to compete with Apple were Hardware and services for consumers and developers is all they do When apple make 2 times as much as Microsoft does and most of apple profits come from selling hardware . They seen people were buying PCs again so they drop the M1 MACs . Why Microsoft Surface isn't growing after seven years of trying (It been 8 years now) https://appleinsider.com/articles/19/10/24/editorial-why-microsoft-surface-isnt-growing-after-seven-years-of-trying
