Bizarre™
Adobe argued that the incidents serve "as a reminder to all of us the importance of layers of security" in securing corporate systems.I'm perturbed by Adobe's argument

HX1
The HELL we do... that is the next step for open-source.. It would seem to me before approaching a new major version and releasing it, that Adobe would have thoroughly tested and accounted for these issues. Personally I think its time to hired a professional hacker for the dev team to be directed by.. and to help account for the thing that the straight-forward thinking programmers are missing.. I mean what use is it if its unsafe.. to anyone. I think the public is getting sick of constantly updating software and spending so much more time working on their systems to make sure they are secure and that they are running correctly.. than actually using them.. Furthermore.. I don't think that it should be so hard to find the facts.. and get the truth about these things.. They seem to be buried in the corner of the Web somewhere.. so as not to make so much noise..I think its an issue several companies should address properly.. Who has the time, in the hour or two a day the average person has to themselves each day.. to cruise the Internet.. download updates gets the facts .. install, reboot, upgrade.. and stay abreast of the changes... It seems t be a going problem though in everything from Customer Service to tertiary level service providers.. constant FAIL... Things not occurring the way they should. People falling down on the job, things breaking because there was no objective mind involved.. Not only that but financially; companies, and employees wind up getting rewarded by these failures by getting paid more hours to do something that would have taken two.. They make three sales instead of one.. but all for the sake of what would seem to be sabotage of our daily lives.. Its rare that you ever find someone who is there to be forthright and get the job accomplished.. which as far as I am concerned.. is EPIC FAIL.. and a sign to move on; to an entity with a proper mission statement.. Bizarre™
@heath28m:That's a good idea. Everyone will benefit if Flash becomes open source. In any case, I think it's unlikely to happen, since Adobe is on the side of $$$.
