apcmiller
MPAA sues 22 web sitesp2p news / p2pnet: Hollywood's MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) has filed lawsuits against 22 web sites it says allow people to download movies without authorization. The sites - in New York, Delaware, Massachusetts, Florida and Texas - include allmoviedownloads.com; Flixks.net; freedvddirect.com; mykazaa.com; and, unlimiteddownloads.com.They typically charge a subscription fee of anywhere from $20 for a three month trial, to $40 for lifetime membership, says the enforcement organization."The average movie costs almost $100 million to make and only about 60 percent of those movies recoup their original investment," says the MPAA, implying file sharers, rather than consistently bad and over-hyped movies, not to mention exorbitant cinema entrance fees, are to blame.p2p.net news

nsane
i actually agree with this suit, all sites mentioned are scam sites. they basiclly make you pay to download emule, kazaa lite, shareaza, limewire, etc. (which are all free), then act like the services used are created by them and charge you more money next month. now this is someone the MAFIAA needs to snuff and dump in a river :lmao:

masterripper
i agree, i think it is actually a good thing,(never thought i would say that about the MPAA) all those "scamsites" make you pay like 20 or 40 dollars to "access 1000's of dvd's" then when you pay they just redirect you to a link to download something that is free in the first place(like LimeWire).
